Outlands Network Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you join or interact with our Minecraft servers, we may collect the following data:

  • Minecraft username(s)
  • IP address
  • Gameplay data (such as blocks placed/broken, homes, actions, and interactions)
  • Playtime and server activity
  • Moderation-related logs
  • Discord IDs (if linked)
  • Payments handled by Tebex (we do not store payment data)

2. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and store this data for the following purposes:

  • Enforcing server rules and issuing bans when necessary
  • Investigating griefing, abuse, or other rule violations
  • Maintaining server functionality and performance
  • Providing a safe and fair gameplay environment

3. Data Sharing

We may share collected data with the following parties:

  • Spark (performance monitoring and analytics)
  • The Minecraft Idiots (mcidiots), our partner server, including:
    • Username
    • IP address
    • Block and gameplay data
    • Playtime

Note: mcidiots is hosted by a third-party provider (Shockbyte). Their infrastructure and support team may have access to data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Data Visibility

All collected data may be accessible to authorized staff members, including moderators, administrators, and owners of both Outlands Network and mcidiots.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • IP addresses
  • Usernames
  • Blocks placed or broken
  • Homes and locations
  • All in-game actions and logs

This level of access is necessary for moderation and investigation purposes.

5. Data Storage

All data is stored in a private Discord server and related systems controlled by the Outlands Network.

We retain logs indefinitely unless a removal request is made.

6. Data Retention & Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your data by contacting the server owner via Discord.

However:

  • We always retain logs from the most recent 30 days for moderation purposes
  • These recent logs cannot be deleted under any circumstances
  • Older logs may be deleted upon request, at our discretion

7. Data Leaks & Security Disclaimer

We do not intentionally leak or distribute user data.

If your data becomes public, it is most commonly due to:

  • Players clicking malicious or unsafe links
  • External compromise outside of our systems

We are not responsible for data exposure caused by user actions, third-party services, or external breaches beyond our control.

8. Third-Party Services

Our network relies on third-party services which may process or store data independently, including but not limited to:

  • Spark
  • Shockbyte (via mcidiots)
  • Discord

By using our services, you acknowledge that these third parties may handle your data under their own privacy policies.

9. Acceptance of This Policy

By joining or using the Outlands Network, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you should not use our services.

You are responsible for checking this policy periodically for updates.
